Harp guitarist & composer Muriel Anderson joined us at the Studios of Blues Radio International to film this very unique and beautiful session. Inspired to play guitar by finger pickin' blues guitarist Doc Watson. However, the only guitar education available in her school was classical guitar & so her musical journey began... Muriel has recorded and performed with the likes of Chet Atkins, Les Paul, and Tommy Emmanuel. She is the first woman to have won the National FIngerstyle Guitar Championship, and her CD “Night Daylight” was chosen as one of the top ten CD’s of the decade by Guitar Player Magazine.
Taking you to Chicago to visit the home of blues legend, John Primer. We talk with John about his new album with Bob Corritore, "The Gypsy Woman Told Me" & hear some beautiful music from that recording. You will hear about Johns musical history which is incredibly rich from his days of turning his childhood home into a Diddley bow, playing in the Muddy Waters Band & his current musical journey.
